The Prime Minister called for a concerted effort to resolve fuel and land-related issues for key projects.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 25 on strengthening measures to manage and stabilize fuel, raw material, and construction material prices; removing difficulties and obstacles, and accelerating the progress of land clearance and construction of important national projects and key projects in the transportation sector.
The official dispatch stated: In recent times, the Government, ministries, sectors, and localities have focused maximum resources and resolutely joined hands to implement investment and construction of many infrastructure projects such as expressways, seaports, airports, energy projects, industrial parks, urban areas, and large commercial zones nationwide.
To date, many projects have been completed on schedule and with quality assurance, and have been put into operation, contributing to national defense and security, and promoting socio-economic efficiency. However, some projects still face difficulties and obstacles in compensation, resettlement support, relocation of technical infrastructure, and the supply and cost of construction materials, affecting the progress and completion according to the set plan and objectives.
Particularly in recent times, the complex developments of conflict and warfare in the Middle East have caused world and domestic oil prices to rise rapidly and fluctuate unpredictably, directly affecting the cost and investment in construction projects.
Urgent need to hand over cleared land for a series of projects.
To effectively manage investment and construction, accelerate implementation progress, and ensure the early completion and commissioning of projects, the Prime Minister requests that: Secretaries and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities, and key leaders at the commune level, need to be more decisive and focused in leading, directing, inspecting, and supervising the implementation of projects in their respective provinces, especially in resolving difficulties and obstacles, and accelerating the progress of compensation, resettlement support, and relocation of technical infrastructure.
